33 thousand foreigners became students of Russian higher educational establishments in 2013, the number of people wishing to study in Russia increases every year, as Veniamin Kaganov, deputy head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, said.
More than one hundred higher educational establishments of the Russian Federation did not take part in the last efficiency monitoring as deputy minister of education and science of Russia Alexander Klimov said on Monday.

Lomonosov Moscow State University entered the top 200 of world's best universities according to the QS, but compared to last year, the rating dropped to four lines, according to data of RIA Novosti group provided within the cooperation with QS Quacquarelli Symonds.
Eighteen Russian universities entered the ranking of the best universities in the world according to UK-based QS ranking, but only Lomonosov Moscow State University remains in the top 200, according to data provided by RIA Novosti group within the cooperation with QS Quacquarelli Symonds.The rating is based on six evaluation criteria: reputation in educational community, citation of publications of the university personnel, the ratio of the number of teachers and students, attitudes of employers to graduates, as well as relative number of foreign teachers and students.
