According to the decree signed by Russian Premier Dmitry Medvedev, all drafts of federal state education programs will now be discussed on line, the Government’s website said Monday.
The third meeting of the Sino-Russian Subcommission of Youth Humanitarian Cooperation will take place in Beijing on August 13, 2013. The Russian delegation will be headed by the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Natalya Tretyak.
Novosibirsk universities are approaching the end of their admission season. A total of 7 700 first year students will be enrolled in state-financed programs. The number of economics majors has been reduced by one-third, and the number of technical majors has been increased by one-fourth. The legal profession is also quite popular, the Minister of Education, Science and Innovative Policy of the region Vladimir Nikonov told the press on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Education and Science commenced the public discussion of the list of criteria for selection of academic journals which will publish articles of doctoral degree candidates. A corresponding document has been published on the website of the Ministry.
Fifteen Russian universities will receive financing to improve their international competitiveness.
Three of these universities are based in St. Petersburg: Ulyanov-Lenin LETI St. Petersburg State University of Electrical Technology, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University and St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics.
