Eighteen Russian universities entered the ranking of the best universities in the world according to UK-based QS ranking, but only Lomonosov Moscow State University remains in the top 200, according to data provided by RIA Novosti group within the cooperation with QS Quacquarelli Symonds. The rating is based on six evaluation criteria: reputation in educational community, citation of publications of the university personnel, the ratio of the number of teachers and students, attitudes of employers to graduates, as well as relative number of foreign teachers and students.
