The third meeting of the Sino-Russian Subcommission of Youth Humanitarian Cooperation will take place in Beijing on August 13, 2013.  The Russian delegation will be headed by the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Natalya Tretyak.
The participants of the meeting will discuss the program of Sino-Russian Year of Friendship and Youth Exchange in 2014 and 2015.  This program has been approved and signed into effect at the Sino-Russian summit in Moscow on March 22, 2013 between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chairman Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China. 
The goal of the program is to facilitate understanding and friendship between young people of Russia and China, support participation of young people of both countries in the development of Sino-Russian relations and overall improvement of the relationship between the citizens of two countries.
Cooperation in the sphere of humanities will include increased contacts between the two countries in the study of languages, history and culture and increased youth exchange programs.  These projects are expected to contribute significantly to development of Sino-Russian relations.
