Making a speech at the State Duma on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets stated that about 56% of the RAS real estate items were not registered properly.
“According to the latest data of the Russian Federation Accounts Chamber 56% of the RAS real estate items are not even entered into the register,” said Golodets at the State Duma, where the first reading of the draft law on the RAS reform takes place.
Golodets emphasized that at that moment there was a situation when the Russian science was burdened with federal property and land area. “The Russian science does not use property and land for research and development purposes, but is just burdened with them,” said Golodets.
She added that the RAS property was used for purposes other than that intended according to the audit of the Accounts Chamber. In particular, the RAS Siberian branch used 100 land plots with a total area of over 30 hectares for purposes other than that intended. Material violations of property management were identified in the RAS branches in the Urals and Far East.
